In Korea for some strange reason I have been getting really bad breakouts on places where I have never gotten acne on, is around my jawline, chin and cheeks. The redness of the blemishes was never really fading away, it seems like it takes much longer to heal than my usual ones. I think my acnes were either caused by stress from studying or the environment, if not it must have been related to hormones or something.

Due to the fact that nature republic discontinued my favourite Bee Venom Cream so I decided to get my hands on the recently launch range, as it was on 50% sale.

First of all I really like the simple packaging of the slight transparent brown jar, alongside with a black lid, it makes it looks so classy like some natural professional brand (belif or fresh). Inside it came with a plastic seal like typical Korean brands very hygienic.

To my surprise the smell was actually very similar to the bee venom line except it is more soothing and less fragranted.

The texture of the cream is really hard to describe at first I thought it will be watery like a typical gel cream, however it was nothing like that. The cream itself is definitely more stiff and it feels like it will lock in the moisture better than most gel cream. The texture of it somewhat resembles to waxes or perhaps Doctorcos cream but thicker.

After applying it on it is definitely not sticky unlike gel cream where it seems like everything is gone after absorption, this does leave a layer of ‘something’ on but that layer does not create rubbery shred when mix with other products. But somehow makeup doesn’t sit well on the face after applying this cream on, or maybe I was just in a rush to put my make up on before letting the cream itself sink into my face.

Referring back to what it claims, it definitely helps with soothing the redness on my skin and it actually does not irritate my eczema skin but rather calms it down, preventing it from being itchy. As for the radiant part I didn't see much of a result on that maybe I have to use it for much longer to see.

Will I repurchase the product?
I will repurchase this product if my skin is on a very sensitive state because I think this really works, I would recommend this to people who suffers from sensitive skin and need hydration because this is definitely more hydrating then a typical gel cream

[Review] Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Sleek+Moist Mist

Changing seasons =="
After going into puberty, changing season is not a big problem to me, all I get is just oily skin, but recently during the seasonal changes my skin get so tight and dry however my T-zone area is still oily T^T.

Due to the fact I am running out of moisturizer so I decided to purchase  Tony Moly pocket bunny mist since I heard a lot of good reviews about it!

The Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Mist have two version one is sleek (white) and one is moist (pink)

Directions: Close your eyes and spray the product at about 20cm away from the face. Make sure that the mist covers the entire face. Pat gently. *Note: This product can be used with or without makeup.

Cost:  approx 7.80 USD (I bought it on ebay for $10.00 USD)
Product Size: 60 mL

I purchase both versions since  I thought the sleek version is more suitable for my skin type as it is targeted at people who have oily skin, however due to the seasonal changes I find the product too drying and tight for my skin, so I repurchase the moist one instead.
Firstly I will talk about the Sleek Mist:
I think it will be very good to use during summer because it really controls my oil and set my make up. Usually my make up without setting it with powder or a fixer it will last around 3 hours then it will start melting. But after using the Sleek Mist it lasted me for a whole school day (6 hours+) not only that but I highly think is very suitable for summer because it smells so fresh as oppose to the Moist Mist where it gives off a sweet aroma!

Secondly I will talk about the Moist Mist:
This mist is targeted for people with dry skin! As I have previously stated this mist gives off a sweet scent as I compare it with the Sleek Mist where the scent is fresh! The mist itself is less drying, so if you have combination skin during autumn or winter I will recommend you with the moist mist because it doesn't tighten my skin like the sleek one. Sadly this product is not as hydrating as I thought it will be, but it does ease the tightness in my skin and it does moisten it up a bit. For those of you if you are wondering if it will sets the make up for hours all I can say is I haven't tested it out yet so I can't give you a truthful comment on that.

Overall, the packaging is really cute and adorable, it looks less plain than normal mist and also because is so small (approx 12cm) it is very convenient for me to carry out on the streets in my bag! :D. The pump of the product is very efficient unlike the Etudehouse Aloe Vera Soothing Gel where is a bit dodgy haha XD. However I notice something different about the two when you spray it in your face. When you spray the sleek mist on your face it feels very light, as if you are walking in the fog (is that even the right way to describe it), as opposed to the moist mist where when I sprayed it, I feel bigger particles like droplet of water on my face!

Comparison picture of the two mists the moist mist looks like it has more power than the sleek mist therefore the particles are bigger as it has more force

Overall Rating for Sleek Mist:

Hygiene 5/5

Overall Rating for Moist Mist:

[Review] Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil Free Gel Cream

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil Free Gel Cream claims to:
A non–oily, quickly absorbed hydrator that visibly reduces the appearance of oil and leaves skin looking and feeling more balanced.
  • Visibly reduce excess oil on skin’s surface
  • Re-balances skin barrier for a smoother, fresher appearance
  • Contains Imperata Cylindrica Root Extract, Antarcticine, and Cucumber Fruit Extract
  • Oil–free, paraben–free, fragrance–free, colorant–free

Product Size: 50 mL

Cost: $26.50 USD

Ingredients: aqua / water, glycerin, alcohol denat., propanodiol, glycereth-26, isononyl isononanoate, ammonium polyacryldimethyltauramide / ammonium polyacryloyldimethyl taurate, imperata cylindrica root extract, phenoxyethanol, sodium benzoate, propylene glycol, potassium sorbate, sodium hyaluronate, pseudoaltteromonas ferment extract, citric acid, caprylyl glycol, carbomer, biosaccharide gum-i, panthenol, cucumis sativus juice / cucumber fruit extract, acrylates /c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer

Direction: Apply to cleansed and toned facial skin day and night

The first time I ever used this product was after I tried their blue herbal line, this product was given by my cousin because she didn't think this was hydrating enough for her since she has relatively dry skin. My skin is rather oily and acne prone, so I always look out for gel cream type of product. This jar is my second jar of this product you can tell from the picture above that I almost ran out of it. I would love to repurchase it again but it is a bit too expensive for a student, so I only use it once in a while, (mostly use it in winter). I swear this product is awesome, you know when your skin gets too dry from acne cream or the weather and you get fine crack/ dry skin, after applying this cream and wake up next morning the fine line immediately disappear, so awesome~!

Is sad knowing that alcohol is the third main content in this product, but strangely this product is even more hydrating than the Mizon Acence Blemish Control Soothing Gel Cream which I have previously reviewed Neutrogena hydro boost water gel. This product is definitely one of the most hydrating gel cream I have used!

Talking about the packaging, this product is not as good as the korean products. Because this product does not have a plastic film that seals and it does not provide a spatula, which means I have to dip my finger into the jar of cream ==". But to be honest the spatula did not work very well in the gel cream because the gel cream is really light weighted and runny.

When you applied it onto your skin it is very easy to blend it out and all over your face, the product is also super duper light weighted, and it gets absorb into my skin really quickly. However there is a very natural herb like scent to it. I am certain that the cream does not have artificial fragrant but is hard to describe what it smells like, it just smell so original and raw is that even the right way to describe creams?!?!!? haha

after applying it for 1 minute

Will I repurchase this product?  Until I can find a cheaper product that works just as great as this one then I will consider not repurchase it. But NOW Of course I will repurchase it! But I will only purchase it once in a while since is kinda pricey, but this product is awesome because it is non comedogenic so that means it won't clog my pores (reduce my chance of getting acne). I would say this is my holy grail during winter time haha. I will recommend this to people who have acne prone, oily and normal skin. For people with dry skin, I think you need something more hydrating than this :D

[Review] Kiehl's Yerba Mate Tea Lotion

Kiehl's have always been working pretty well for me especially their Blue Herbal Line which have cured most of my acnes! (In the future I will talk about this line :D)
Well since they have been working so well, that most of my acne are cured, I decided to try out another product. Since I can no longer use the blue herbal line, is getting to dry for me these days T^T (Maybe is because it is winter here in Australia)  and also I no longer really need the product because I haven't had breakouts for a while, I only have breakouts when I am under stress like right before my exams T^T.

So I decided to try out the Yerba Mate Tea line which the sales person recommend.
The cleanser work really well for me, I will highly recommend the cleanser if you no longer have breakouts and if you still have oily skin or something because that cleaner does not dry your skin out but it creates a rather refreshing feel (unfortunately I will not do an extended review on this cleanser because I no longer purchase this product).

Time to talk about our main product for this post!
Yerba Mate Tea Lotion claims to: "help skin combat dullness and maintain its healthful and youthful vivacity. Our light-weighted lotion helps improved skin texture, clarity and radiance without clogging pores while minimizing first fine lines."

To be honest I didn't see any of that happening, not only did it not make my skin more radiant but I also started getting breakouts.

  • The consistency of the product is very light-weighted
  • Smooth application and fast absorption
  • The smell of it is very natural maybe it is because it is made up of South American Herb extract
  • Price $44 AUD for 75 ml (kinda pricey)

Ingredient  List: Aqua/ Water, Glycerin (There is probably some other ingredient that have not been listed on the ingredients)
From what I have research Glycerin helps to hydrate your skin while reducing dry cracked lines

Directions: Apply to clean facial skin day or night as needed (under make up and/or sunscreen). For optimal result we recommend day and night.

I will definitely not repurchase this product as it is ineffective and I will not recommend you guys to buy it, but if you guys want to buy it and try it out sure you can do that too, this product might work for you :)

[Review] Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream

Hey guys don't be shock by snail cream, you guys heard it right is snail cream XD
It is a very popular trend in Korea and Asia right now, so I guess I am now following on the trend as well. Did you guys know that Snails (muslin/filtrate) are incredibly good at repairing damaged tissues and regenerating new ones?

This product claims to:
"
Mizon Multi Function Formula Snail Recovery Gel Cream is a lightweight gel type cream that reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Its gel like consistency allows it to penetrate deeper than traditional creams and leaves a light bare feeling. Although light in texture, this cream is highly effective, containing 74% snail slime extract. Snail slime extract promotes the production of collagen, allowing it to plump existing wrinkles and prevent new ones from forming. Use this moisturiser to create a more youthful and radiant complexion today!"

Product Size: 45mL
Cost: $12 USD for 2 ( I bought this during a promotion on ebay :D)

Direction: After cleansing and using toner, apply an appropriate amount all over and tap lightly to help absorption.

Ingredients: Snail secretion filtrate, butylene glycol, cyclopentasiloxane, glycerin, Bis-peg-18 methyl ether, dimethyl silane, polysorbate2-, sodium hyaluronate, carbomer, glycosyl trehalose, hydrogenated starch hydolsyate, triethanolamine, dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, dimethicone, hydroxyethylcellulose, caprylyl glyocol, ethylhexylglycerin, sodium polyacrylate, centella asiatica extract, portulaca oleracea extract, camellias sinensis leaf extract, nelumbo nucifera flower extract, betula platylphylla japonica juice, tropolone, copper tripeptide-1, allantoin, panthenol, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, adenosine, disodium edta - Taken from prettyandcute.com

Packaging of the product is quite adorable since it is in pink, but to be honest I am not quite fond of the color pink but his shade of pastel pink is withstand-able :D. What is really good is that it is in a tube form which means is going to be hygienic when using it!

The consistency of the product is a clear light weighted gel form, it is very easy to spread and absorb, not sticky at all! Great product to use in both summer and winter. The product is odourless since I couldn't smell any scent from it.

after leaving it to dry for 1-2 minutes

For no apparent reason when using this at night time my face gets a bit oily when I wake up but when using it during day time is perfectly fine?!?!? But who cares about having oily face in the morning keke, whats more important is that it fades away my acne scar and wounds (sorry sometimes I get too tempted and I start picking on my acne) faster so grateful of this product T~T. After using this product my complexion also went better, it was less dull and more radiant now.

About the wrinkle part about this product I am not so sure about it because I don't have any wrinkles just yet(^v^)v. Almost forgot to mention the key point this product didn't cause me to have any breakout~ hooray!!!

I think this product is good for all skin types.

I will definitely repurchase this product as it is cheap and effective :D, a pretty affordable price for a high school student!

Overall Rating:

Updated:
Ok after using this product for weeks and weeks I realise its not as effective when I first started using it. Like I just didn't see any changes on my face at all. T^T I moved back to my old favourite PXE Anti- Acne Trace-free repairing serum (which I will do a review for it in the future)
So I will definitely not repurchase this product just because it is cheap!

My rating for it effectiveness is:
Effectiveness: 1.5/5

[Review] Neutrogena Hydro Boost night concentrate sleeping pack

Ever since I got acne, I have been using a gel cream from this range (line) as my night moisturiser as it is light weighted, and it is an aqua base product, which means it won't cause any breakouts to my skin, as it is not a cream that is overloaded with nutrients.

So when I was in Hong Kong I have decided to purchase this sleeping pack to see if it is as good as the gel cream. Because during winter time the cold and harsh weather make my skin really dry and applying the Hydro boost gel cream is just not enough for me T^T.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost claims to:
"It is specially formulated with Neutrogena’s smart Progressive Release System, which actively seeks out dry skin cells to replenish moisture in them throughout the night. As skin cells renew at night, the Hyaluronic Acid, Olive Extract and Ionic Mineral Complex help to make the most out of the cell regeneration process, therefore boosting the skin’s renewal capacity so that you wake up to an amazingly hydrated, soft and supple skin in the morning"

Product Size:50mL
Cost: Sorry guys I can't remember how much it cost ($25.50 USD on ebay)

Direction: Before sleep, massage evenly over face and neck after moisturiser and rinse off the next morning. Recommended to be used twice a week, although also suitable for daily use.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Olivate, Polyacrylamide, Sorbitan Olivate, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethiconol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Synntheic Beeswac, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Benzyl Alcohol, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Laureth-7, Mennitol, Carbomer, Sodium Pareth-12, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance, Cl 77289, Potulaca Oleracea Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Magenesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, Copper Gluconate, Cl 42090

I really like the invention of sleeping mask it makes my life so much easier, since there are times you feel lazy and you don't feel like putting on different creams or essence or serums like one layer of sleeping mask is enough XD.

The product packaging was really well done everything was all sealed, so I know for sure that is clean not contaminated. But I kinda dislike how it is in a jar that means I have to use my fingers to dig some product out or a spatula which they did not offer one T^T.

The scent of the cream was slightly artificial and concentrated but is withstandable :)

The cream has a water base gel cream consistency slightly thicker than the gel cream moisturiser that is also in this line. The product also contain some beads, I am guessing they are hydraluronic acid beads?!?! Maybe this is what the are referring to "smart progressive release system"?!?! Well when I blended in my skin the beads kinda disappeared, it kinda felt slightly sticky, which I personally dislike but after you wait fot 5-10 minute that stickiness kinda disappear.

After blending the sleep mask out
leaving it dry for 5-10 minute
This product states that it is non- comedogenic which means it won't clog pores but for some reason after using it I got few acnes afterwards and I started getting sebums as well. I tried using this product again to test it but same thing happened again. I think I tested 5+ times but the result have not change.
But I have to admit my skin did feel very hydrated and soft after using it.

Will I repurchase this probably not since I got acnes and sebum from this product, maybe people with normal to dry skin should give it a dry because it will leave you face feeling soft and hydrated!
But people with acne prone skin and oily skin I don't think I will recommend it for you guys, but if you guys want to try it out please do so :D

[Review] Etude Moistfull Collagen First Essence

Ever since I bought this during my Korea trip, I have been constantly using it. This is definitely part of my daily skincare routine now. This product does a fantastic job to my skin!

Etude Moistfull Collagen First Essence claims to:

"
Etude House Moistfull Collagen First Essence is a hydrating moisture and collagen essence. Baobab Tree extract contains moisturizing properties that penetrate deep for better and longer lasting hydration. Also, contains 90% Collagen composition that increases collagen synthesis, providing a lifting and tightening effect. Promotes a radiant and lustrous glow to complexion."

  • Hydrates
  • Moisturizes
  • Increases Collagen synthesis
  • Penetrates Deep

Direction:After cleansing and before facial freshner (toner). Apply an appropriate amount all over face.

Ingredients: Hydrolyzed Collagen Alcohol, Adansonia Digitata Fruit Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Butylene Glycol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Benzophenone-5, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxethanol, CI 19140, CI 17200, Fragrance

This product is 100 mL
Cost: approx. $15 USD

I am going to be honest with you guys, I lost/ threw away the box that this product came in so I can't really comment on the packaging of the box. And I have been using this product for at least 7-8 months so I can't recall how the box looks like. But talking about the bottle of the product, it is not like the etude malgem one where it is plastic that got moulded to look like glass. This product actually got put into a glass bottle, I was totally surprise by that, oh it makes me feel like I am using a luxury product XD.

This product has a thick watery consistency, is probably similar to the consistency of serums.  Once again it sinks into your skin pretty fast (but not as fast as products i have previously mentioned) , it might feel slightly sticky (the stickiness it gives is different to the innisfree green tea pure skin) when first applying it,  but it is actually perfectly fine after you let the essence settles. As always etude house product have really nice scent to their product, this time the product have a citrus like scent to it, I actually quite enjoyed it when using it :D
after patting it onto my skin
after leaving it for approx 1-2 minutes

After applying it onto the face it definitely hydrate and moisturises my skin, I didn't get any breakouts from using this product and my pore actually minimised after using this product, maybe it's because it increased the production of my collagen or perhaps is because it penetrates into the deep layers of my skin keeping it dewy and healthy, therefore my pores have reduce in size! This product definitely brighten up your face, because my face use to be kinda dull, but now it looks more glowy.

I will definitely repurchase this product and I recommend all of you to buy this product. This product does fabulous job !!! There is not a single thing I dislike about this product. This is definitely one of my "holy grail" products!

[Review] Innisfree Green Tea Pure Skin (Toner)

As you guys know recently my skin have been feeling a bit dry recently, so I decided to try another toner, a toner that is more natural, and something that will rehydrate my skin while not causing any breakouts. In here I am not implying the etude house malgem smoother is bad, I m just afraid that exfoliating toner is not a very good choice when my skin is feeling a bit dry, but I still use that etude product from time to time like once- twice a week :D.

The Innisfree Green Tea Pure Skin claims to:
"This moisturizing fluid, contained with organic green tea water from Jeju island, softly touches and freshly absorbs into the skin as the water particles pop. Well known for its calming effects, centeruri extract rapidly restores the collapsed moisture balance of your skin."

"Enriched with Green Tea and Green complex from pure Jeju Island. Green Tea Pure revives dry, stressed skin by supplying abundant of moisture."

Direction: Take a proper amount and massage it into face and neck or After applying the green tea seed serum, apply an appropriate amount onto face and neck and gently smooth over as if you were absorbing water drops into the skin.

Main ingredients: 100% organic Green Tea Water, Centauri Extract, White Willow Husk, Green complex (5 organic ingredient from Jeju)
Sorry guys I can't provide you guys with the full ingredient list this time because I think I threw away the packaging box so I don't know what the full ingredient list is.

This product is 200mL
Cost: approx. $14 USD
Packaging: From memory the box that it was in was very nice a simple quite like the design, but bottle of the product is not as fancy as the etude house. I guess the "greeness" of the bottle make it look quite environmentally friendly :D

The consistency is thicker than normal toner but is still watery as u can see the droplet is about to drip XD

As for the product when I used it for the first time, to be honest I didn't like it very much, because there was no effect on me and also I wasn't sure if I bought the correct product since the toner's consistency is slightly thicker than normal. But is not a very bad consistency is still very light-weighted similar to a lotion.

Even though my first impression wasn't that great I decided to give it another try, the second try was much better than the first one besides the scent. I wonder is it actually made with all natural ingredient because for some reason the scent kinda smell kinda artificial.  The perfumed smell is not overwhelming but is definitely stronger than Etude house's malgem.

But overall I have pretty great result with this product because after applying it on my face it feels really refresh and cool~( it absorbs really fast into the skin, but it might feel slightly sticky straight after application but after absorption is perfectly fine) ! Not only that but my face somehow didn't feel as dry, like it keeps my face in a right balance. So I really enjoyed this product.

Will I repurchase this product, yes of course and especially if I suffer dry skin again during winter season. Will I recommend this product to you guys, well if you guys think this is the right product for you please go for it. If it is not maybe research more about it because this is not a product that I will highly recommend but is pretty ok to use :)

[Review]Mizon Acene Blemish Soothing Gel Cream

Ingredients:

This is another Korean cosmetic product that I have purchase but I did not purchase this when I was in Korea since I have never heard about this brand before my Korea trip.
My moisturise kinda ran out so I decided to do some research on what I should get, and I came across to this product. The product sounded really great for me, however there was no detailed ingredient list available [because if I did see the ingredient list I might not have purchase this product since there is alcohol in it, from what I have heard alcohol tends to dehydrate your skin T^T, so  I guess to a certain extent it is bad for my skin, since oily skin is caused by not having enough moisture in your skin (I might be wrong about this, since I am not an expert about cosmetic ingredients, I am just a regular teenager!)]. Well now I am going to post a picture of the ingredient list below.

The packaging was simple and hygienic since everything was all nicely sealed in the box and when I opened the lid it was the product was sealed by a piece of plastic as well. The only downfall of why this product is not hygienic is because they did not provide me with a mini spatula so I have to dab my fingers into the product which is kinda unsanitary T^T.

Haha :D I just scoop out a large blob

The texture of the cream is like typical gel cream but maybe a bit more watery than the Etude Aloe Moistfull Soothing Gel. The cream is really light weighted and easy to apply onto the skin and it absorbs pretty fast into the skin!

after blending it out
after leaving it for 1-2 minutes

The scent was alright it smelled like some kinda of herb or similar to the face shop's babyface hyaluronic acid sleeping pack but once applied on the face the herb somehow smelled like plastic, I don't know is it plastic or artificial? Or maybe is just the fact that I am not really used to the herb smell because it kinda have this lemon like scent mix with alcohol.

After a month of using it my acne or the redness of my face did calm down so this is a fact that I really like about this product and also I haven't been breaking out a lot.
Temporarily this product did not really dry out my face but I don't know if it will in the future (since there is alcohol in there).

But I will highly recommend you guys not to apply this under make up because there is a protective film layer and it makes make up doesn't go on very well on your skin T^T.
Will I repurchase this product, to be honest I don't know because there is good and bad side to this product maybe during summer season I will repurchase this product because I am really worry that alcohol will dehydrate my skin, even though this problem have not yet arise yet. If you guys need something to calm the redness or control the acne on your face I will highly recommend this product, because this product does work!

Almost forgot to write the cost, it cost around $11.50 on ebay when I purchased it!
