In Korea for some strange reason I have been getting really bad breakouts on places where I have never gotten acne on, is around my jawline, chin and cheeks. The redness of the blemishes was never really fading away, it seems like it takes much longer to heal than my usual ones. I think my acnes were either caused by stress from studying or the environment, if not it must have been related to hormones or something.

Due to the fact that nature republic discontinued my favourite Bee Venom Cream so I decided to get my hands on the recently launch range, as it was on 50% sale.

First of all I really like the simple packaging of the slight transparent brown jar, alongside with a black lid, it makes it looks so classy like some natural professional brand (belif or fresh). Inside it came with a plastic seal like typical Korean brands very hygienic.

To my surprise the smell was actually very similar to the bee venom line except it is more soothing and less fragranted.

The texture of the cream is really hard to describe at first I thought it will be watery like a typical gel cream, however it was nothing like that. The cream itself is definitely more stiff and it feels like it will lock in the moisture better than most gel cream. The texture of it somewhat resembles to waxes or perhaps Doctorcos cream but thicker.

After applying it on it is definitely not sticky unlike gel cream where it seems like everything is gone after absorption, this does leave a layer of ‘something’ on but that layer does not create rubbery shred when mix with other products. But somehow makeup doesn’t sit well on the face after applying this cream on, or maybe I was just in a rush to put my make up on before letting the cream itself sink into my face.

Referring back to what it claims, it definitely helps with soothing the redness on my skin and it actually does not irritate my eczema skin but rather calms it down, preventing it from being itchy. As for the radiant part I didn't see much of a result on that maybe I have to use it for much longer to see.

Will I repurchase the product?
I will repurchase this product if my skin is on a very sensitive state because I think this really works, I would recommend this to people who suffers from sensitive skin and need hydration because this is definitely more hydrating then a typical gel cream

[Review] Doctorcos Amino Acid Hybrid Sheet Free Mask Advanced

The worst thing to ever do is forget your own moisturiser on your trip! So I went to Korea without my cosmetics, so I was in need of something moisturising as it was winter (snowing) in Korea. So I ended up shopping at some random discount store, and asking for some recommendation, the sales person ended up recommending me this cream.

This cream claims to:
" This new beauty technology  allows a three layer effect to ensure the skin is  provided with nutrients, skin pore tightening effects, increased elasticity, intensive moisturising and incredible hydration capibilities to give a soft, youthful, dewy glow. No need for extra serums. This all in one product does it all!"

"Alcohol Free, Ammonia Free, Cruelty Free, Fragrance Free, Silicon Free, Formaldehyde Free and Contain Minerals"

Ingredients:
Water, Cyclomethicone, Butylene Glycol, PEG-32, Dimethicone, Vinyl Dimethicone Crossopolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Niacinamide, Alcohol, Cetyl PEG, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Sodium Chloride, Betaine, Raffinose, Velvet Extract, Ganoderma Lucidum Stem Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Asparagus Cochinchinensis Root Extract, Astagalus membranaceus, Ceramide 3, Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Fragrance, Disodium EDTA, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Hydrolyzed collagen, Human Oligopeptide-1., Hydrolyzed Royal Jelly Protein, Copper Tripeptide-1

[I am not sure if this is the exact ingredient list as I found this on the net]

Directions:

  • Day Cream
  • Apply a 1-2mm layer of cream all over the face. This cream can also be used under make-up for a smoother application
  •  Makeup + Cream
  • You can also blend this cream with BB cream or foundation at a 8:2 ratio. (8 being the foundation or BB cream and 2 as the doctorcos cream)
  • Sleeping Mask
  • Massage a 2-3mm layer of the cream on the face and neck then sleep with it. Rinsing is not necessary, but if you like you can rinse it off in the morning.

Cost: 15,000 won
Size: 110 ml (but i know it comes in a tube form which is 60g)

This product is highly raved about in Asia, however I totally was not aware of this trend when I was purchasing this product.

The packaging of this product is nothing fancy just something really simple, however is not very hygienic as it is in a jar form and it did not come with a mini spatula/ spoon. On the other hand it did come  with a plastic sealing cap to prevent dust and germs :D

Sorry about the wrong order of this picture

The texture of this cream is very lightweight and is white in colour, but it is kinda half transparent, so it doesn't look entirely white, more to a "milky" look, is really hard to describe the texture but is similar to a gel cream, or perhaps silicone primers (however this product does not contain silicone), this texture is not sticky at all and very refreshing and fast absorption.

As you are blending out the cream onto your face, it forms water droplets, this helps to lock in your moisture.

After this cream settles in your face, it creates a barrier over your skin, however that barriers is not like a film texture, so you can definitely feel safe if you are intending to apply make up after using this product.

The scent is very refreshing and mild, it smells kinda similar to a citrus scent.
(Is really hard describing the scent T.T)

I think this product is not very effective as it is not hydrating enough, especially if you live in dry environment like Australia or the harsh snowing winter in Korea. But perhaps if you live in hot humid country like Malaysia this will be a very nice product as it is not sticky. However if you work in an air conditioned environment I don't think purely relying on this cream will be sufficient. I would recommend this product to mainly people with normal skin, but for people with oily skin is worth trying in humid and hot weather. As for dry skin, I don't think I will recommend this product to you guys.

My general thoughts on this product is that  it is not very effective as  I did not see my pores minimizing, as well as other factors it claims to do such as improving skin elasticity, intense moisturising and dewy youthful glow. I kinda think this product is over raved.

Although this product is quite cheap but I don't think I will repurchase it as I did not see any effects on my skin,

Direction: Apply to cleansed and toned facial skin day and night

The first time I ever used this product was after I tried their blue herbal line, this product was given by my cousin because she didn't think this was hydrating enough for her since she has relatively dry skin. My skin is rather oily and acne prone, so I always look out for gel cream type of product. This jar is my second jar of this product you can tell from the picture above that I almost ran out of it. I would love to repurchase it again but it is a bit too expensive for a student, so I only use it once in a while, (mostly use it in winter). I swear this product is awesome, you know when your skin gets too dry from acne cream or the weather and you get fine crack/ dry skin, after applying this cream and wake up next morning the fine line immediately disappear, so awesome~!

Is sad knowing that alcohol is the third main content in this product, but strangely this product is even more hydrating than the Mizon Acence Blemish Control Soothing Gel Cream which I have previously reviewed Neutrogena hydro boost water gel. This product is definitely one of the most hydrating gel cream I have used!

Talking about the packaging, this product is not as good as the korean products. Because this product does not have a plastic film that seals and it does not provide a spatula, which means I have to dip my finger into the jar of cream ==". But to be honest the spatula did not work very well in the gel cream because the gel cream is really light weighted and runny.

When you applied it onto your skin it is very easy to blend it out and all over your face, the product is also super duper light weighted, and it gets absorb into my skin really quickly. However there is a very natural herb like scent to it. I am certain that the cream does not have artificial fragrant but is hard to describe what it smells like, it just smell so original and raw is that even the right way to describe creams?!?!!? haha

after applying it for 1 minute

Will I repurchase this product?  Until I can find a cheaper product that works just as great as this one then I will consider not repurchase it. But NOW Of course I will repurchase it! But I will only purchase it once in a while since is kinda pricey, but this product is awesome because it is non comedogenic so that means it won't clog my pores (reduce my chance of getting acne). I would say this is my holy grail during winter time haha. I will recommend this to people who have acne prone, oily and normal skin. For people with dry skin, I think you need something more hydrating than this :D

[Review]Mizon Acene Blemish Soothing Gel Cream

Ingredients:

This is another Korean cosmetic product that I have purchase but I did not purchase this when I was in Korea since I have never heard about this brand before my Korea trip.
My moisturise kinda ran out so I decided to do some research on what I should get, and I came across to this product. The product sounded really great for me, however there was no detailed ingredient list available [because if I did see the ingredient list I might not have purchase this product since there is alcohol in it, from what I have heard alcohol tends to dehydrate your skin T^T, so  I guess to a certain extent it is bad for my skin, since oily skin is caused by not having enough moisture in your skin (I might be wrong about this, since I am not an expert about cosmetic ingredients, I am just a regular teenager!)]. Well now I am going to post a picture of the ingredient list below.

The packaging was simple and hygienic since everything was all nicely sealed in the box and when I opened the lid it was the product was sealed by a piece of plastic as well. The only downfall of why this product is not hygienic is because they did not provide me with a mini spatula so I have to dab my fingers into the product which is kinda unsanitary T^T.

Haha :D I just scoop out a large blob

The texture of the cream is like typical gel cream but maybe a bit more watery than the Etude Aloe Moistfull Soothing Gel. The cream is really light weighted and easy to apply onto the skin and it absorbs pretty fast into the skin!

after blending it out
after leaving it for 1-2 minutes

The scent was alright it smelled like some kinda of herb or similar to the face shop's babyface hyaluronic acid sleeping pack but once applied on the face the herb somehow smelled like plastic, I don't know is it plastic or artificial? Or maybe is just the fact that I am not really used to the herb smell because it kinda have this lemon like scent mix with alcohol.

After a month of using it my acne or the redness of my face did calm down so this is a fact that I really like about this product and also I haven't been breaking out a lot.
Temporarily this product did not really dry out my face but I don't know if it will in the future (since there is alcohol in there).

But I will highly recommend you guys not to apply this under make up because there is a protective film layer and it makes make up doesn't go on very well on your skin T^T.
Will I repurchase this product, to be honest I don't know because there is good and bad side to this product maybe during summer season I will repurchase this product because I am really worry that alcohol will dehydrate my skin, even though this problem have not yet arise yet. If you guys need something to calm the redness or control the acne on your face I will highly recommend this product, because this product does work!

Almost forgot to write the cost, it cost around $11.50 on ebay when I purchased it!
